Indi Community Acupuncture – Anxiety and Stress Clinic

We are more stressed then ever before. When that pressure becomes an unreasonable part of our lives, causing us to become sick, unhealthy and anxious it is a serious issue.

Long term stress can damage the organs, weaken the immune system, even putting us at risk for cancer and depression.

Acupuncture deactivates parts of the brain which trigger our flight or fight so that we can re-balance and gain relief from the dangerous effects of stress. Balancing the nervous system this way allows us to improve our mental and physical health and resilience.

Our community Acupuncture clinic will run one Sunday per month from 11am-2pm.

Available Time Slots:
11-11:30
11:45-12:45
12:30-1:00
1:15-1:45

$25-$40 Sliding Fee Scale

Please call 720-209-8797 to enroll in any of the above time slots. Please call at least one week ahead to reserve your spot. You may also call to inquire about same-day drop in availability.

You will come away with the knowledge and the tools to more adequately handle stressors connected to your trauma so you can walk through your life with more confidence and peace. You will also be given psycho-educational touchstones throughout the series to further validate your healing journey. All of this with a community of people showing up to remind you that you are not alone, we are all in this together.

Trauma-Informed Yoga is for anyone, but can be particularly helpful for trauma survivors including, but not limited to, the following types of trauma:

About Cole: E-RYT 500

Cole’s passion is to support everyday people as they safely and playfully step into their own confidence and connect deeply with themselves. Her method of choice: yoga. Yoga can empower individuals physically, mentally, and emotionally. And with some curiosity and openness, it can have lasting benefits that run deep.

As a constant student herself, Cole walks side by side all of us on this crazy, heart-filled journey called life using the yoga tools she has found along the way. The personal awareness Cole has experienced in her own practice has helped her both navigate discomfort and cultivate a deep sense of ease within herself. Cole aims to create an accessible space for others to do the same.

While working with an organization for the end of violence against women, Cole regularly witnessed the disconnect that women experiencing physical abuse sometimes have from their bodies. This disconnect is what spurred Cole’s intrigue in the physical body’s place in supporting trauma recovery. So began her journey with Trauma-Sensitive Yoga. Since then she has studied with trauma-informed teachers such as Janine D’Anniballe, Hala Khouri, and Nancy Candea.

Unlock the 7 Chakras with Your Yoga Practice

Chakras are the whirling vortices of energy where the mental and vital powers converge creating the various levels of your consciousness.

By working on your chakras you are transcending your current limitations, improving your perception of life, removing any energetic blockages and aligning your body, heart, mind, soul and spirit for a more fulfilling and meaningful encounter with life.

You receive a comprehensive explanation of each chakra, it’s significance as well as the traditional time-tested yogic techniques for stimulating, purifying and awakening each one. These practices assist you in reconnecting to your higher self, your true nature. Each chakra pertains to a certain dimension of consciousness and a corresponding region of your brain, and working with the chakras unlocks these areas  to bring creativity, wit and inspiration.

Awakening each chakra can be done with asana (posture), pranayama (breath), and simple concentration techniques utilizing bija mantras, the breath and a refined awareness of these subtle locations in your body.

Benefits:

-Unblock any stagnated energy for more vitality and wakefulness!

-Transcend all your current personal challenges and limitations!

-Awaken the dormant regions of your brain!

-Purify your body, mind, heart and soul!

-Radiate the inner joy of perfect self-born bliss!

This series is part 2 of the Trauma-Sensitive Series. It’s highly recommended that you complete part 1 of the series before signing up for part 2. This extension will be similar in pace and safety, but will introduce concepts of trauma as it imprints on the body and in the viscera that build upon the ones introduced in part 1. Once you begin your journey of releasing trauma from the body through the modality of trauma-sensitive yoga, it can be helpful to have community and guidance to continue along this path.
