Casey is a RYT 200 certified vinyasa yoga teacher and a Certified Teacher of Kundalini Yoga. Casey was a runner her whole life, she ran long distance half marathons, marathons, and 30 plus miles a week. In May of 2015 she wanted to look for something to balance out all of the running she was doing. She stumbled upon a deal at a heated yoga studio with only the intention to go in and stretch her sore muscles. What she found was so much more. By the third class she was in tears on her mat. This was the practice she had been looking for. After that, she practiced every single day until she took her teacher training in January of 2016. Some time later, she found her way out of the hot yoga world because she wanted to dive more into the subtle aspect of yoga like , breath work, chanting, and meditation. This is where she discovered Kundalini Yoga that embodied all of the aspects of yoga into one practice. She studied at the Kundalini Research Institute in August 2017. Casey has also studied Ayurvedic Medicine in Rishikesh, India over the last two years and is a certified Ayurvedic Health
Casey teaches Kundalini Yoga which is a mix of yoga postures, chanting, pranayama, and meditation. Kundalini Yoga is the Yoga of Awareness. This practice is about taking the senses and turning them inwards, therefore most of the postures are done with the eyes closed. In Caseys class you can expect to find movement, challenging seating postures, use of hand mudras, mantra, and a gentle sound bath at the end with the use of the gong. Every single class is completely different from the next, come explore the many facets of yoga in this one practice!
