Jackie received her 200-HR and 300/500-HR yoga teacher certifications at Grassroots Yoga, where she has been teaching since 2014. She first started yoga for the physical benefits, wanting to stay active after stopping sports in college, and quickly found that yoga had so much more to offer her. Jackie teaches all levels Hatha yoga in her weekly classes, and yin yoga in her private lessons, which focus on chronic pain management, pranayama, and therapeutic yoga. Jackie uses the full study of yoga as a lens that changes the way that she looks at and moves through the world. She feels yoga is an excellent way to learn how to care for yourself and your body, and has the power to change your relationship with yourself and others.
All Levels Yoga Class
In Jackie’s All Levels Yoga class you can expect to see a lot of foundational poses and standing balance poses, with fun and interesting transitions to take you from place to place. Jackie offers fun and unique variations, to meet students exactly where they are in their yoga practice and ensure everyone gets the yoga practice that’s best for their body. Jackie likes her yoga classes to be a “squeegee for your day”. Giving you time to process and wipe away anything that’s sticky that doesn’t need to be hanging on so you can find stability, clarity, and both a physical and mental calm.
