Jessica Jeffcoat received her 200-HR and 500-HR yoga teacher training certifications at Grassroots Yoga. She has been practicing yoga since 2005 and became a teacher in 2015. She first tried yoga when a friend suggested they take a group class at their gym, instead of their usual treadmill routine, and it happened to be a yoga class! Jessica believes in living your yoga life on and off the mat, which for her means staying curious and adventures, being present and mindful, and maintaining balance in all aspects of life.
All Levels Yoga Class
Jessica’s all levels yoga classes are mostly vinyasa based, and include vigorous, continuous movement, with opportunities for more challenging postures. Her approach to asana is mindful, yet athletic, typically building up to a peak pose with lots of variations along the way, and using props to aid in postures, and fun music to flow along to. Jessica likes to focus on the strength side of postures, encouraging students to use lots of muscle groups, not just their hamstrings. Her classes are fairly challenging, which of course means that you’ll get a good workout. But beyond that, Jessica hopes her students find that by challenging themselves physically they can discover that they are probably mentally stronger than they realize.
