Miles is an RYT-200 certified yoga instructor and has also been teaching dance for over 7 years. After years of being praised for her flexibility she started taking yoga classes to learn the importance of flexibility coupled with strength and stability. Yoga taught her the importance of being able to move with strength and after years of studying, dance, yoga, and functional anatomy her practice has developed patience and a deeper understanding of support. Miles says: “For me, yoga has become a place to come home to, a way to reorient my perspective to simplicity, honesty, and patience. Any time I can remember to sense and feel the present moment, to fully experience a breath, to spread out the space between thought and action, I can put my personal practice into action in my daily life.”
All Levels Yoga Class
Miles will be teaching an all levels hatha yoga class, which will include some vinyasa, some restorative poses, and a good deal of alignment-sourced information. Mile’s teaching focuses on sensory information that creates opportunities for students to get to know their own bodies and the poses from the inside out. Classes will encourage students to look at their internal experience allowing opportunities for students to cultivate deep self awareness, identify physical and mental habits, and engage deeply with compassionate, open attention.
