Pam Hong has been practicing yoga since 1993 and teaching since 2003! She has studied with many teachers throughout Albuquerque & Santa Fe. For Pam, yoga is her place of refuge, contemplation and regeneration. It is where she resides in order to restore her creativity, balance, patience and acceptance with what is right in front of her. New students will find an inclusive and welcoming class that takes into consideration their level of ability. Pam demonstrates modifications that may incorporate props to ease discomfort, enhance stability and promote body awareness. Optional hands-on adjustments will be offered to enhance each student’s practice. With clear, concise instruction, students are able to stay grounded in the present while surrendering to the flow of breath-inspired movement. A sense of peaceful, serene awareness is instilled.
All Levels Yoga Class
You can expect a class that emphasizes alignment and mindful, gentle movement synchronized with the breath. Pam’s all levels classes are loosely based on the Ashtanga system, but incorporate mudras (hand gestures), gentler transitions, longer holds and more flowing continuity. Modifications will always offered for those newer to yoga, while more advanced students will be challenged with an intelligent progression of poses.
