Sue Eaton is an RYT 200 certified yoga instructor. Her yoga practice one 20 years ago. For Sue, yoga is a way to connect with a deeper level of understanding herself physically, mentally, emotionally, & spiritually. In her own practice, yoga has brought her to a clearer awareness of her body’s strengths, limitations, and possibilities. By understanding these things on the mat, you can then translate that knowledge into the challenges of day to day life and remember to breathe and be present with anything that is going on. Sue says “in our fast paced world, there is a strong focus on achievement, on ‘doing.’ This is beneficial to getting things done. However, sometimes we forget to set aside our ‘to do’ list and just ‘be.’ Yoga helps us to slow down, and begin to create more of a balance between ‘being’ and ‘doing.’ It’s a type of practice that can be a reset for us physically, mentally, and emotionally, if you will, so we’re better able to do what is ours more productively.”
Gentle & Restorative Yoga Class
In Sue’s gentle & restorative class you can expect a mix of standing, seated, and supine poses. Class will begin with a short meditation and some breath work, then move to a gentle and non-strenuous flow to encourage range of motion and help circulation, and end with restorative poses for stress relief.
